Given the increasing popularity of open source software, much more attentions have been paid to its advantages and disadvantages. The main advantage of open source software is that helps businesses to have more contributes on the market. Companies using open source software can create an industry standard and thus gain competitive advantage. The validity of this kind of software stems from thousands of independent programmers in order to test and fix software bugs.
