Fault Detection for Network Control System with Unknown Input Observer Approach

In this paper, a fault detection algorithm for network control systems (NCSs) with multiple communication delays is proposed. For designing the observer, unknown input observer (UIO) is used. The Lyapunov function is exploited to design a stable observer. The main principle of this work is to userobust H performance index such that the effect of fault is maximized in the residual signal. The result of observer design is formulated as linear matrix inequality (LMI). Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is shown by a numerical example.
