MPC-Relevant Identification: Theory and Case Study

In this paper a new approach for noise model identification is studied to be used in model predictive control algorithm. As the noise model identification tries to satisfy predictive control requirements, the method is called MPC-Relevant Identification (MRI). The benefits of MRI method over traditional identification methods are illustrated through an example.
