A study into applying of PFMEA in Auto parts Industries

PFMEA is presented as a powerful tool to help an organization to stop defects in process development. Then we deployed it in VAM CO (an Auto parts Industry Company in Iran) to evaluate effectiveness of PFMEA in achieving-its core goal-removing failures-. The result of applying PFMEA was sensible but was not significant, therefore we benchmarked with other companies to understand what the reasons are. We noticed all the companies suffer from same problems in application and context of PFMEA. In this article we illustrate these common problems and propose proven solutions.
