Overview of Drilling and Well Completion Problems in Iran

Drilling and well completion process in petroleum industry are done simultaneously and play an important role to achieving the goal with optimization. The main key to be successful in this process is the correct design of drilling and well completion program, which is based on identification of problem and risk which may be exist in the region. The most of these problems that may be occurred are predictable. These problems can result commercial loss, thus with the proper management and enough knowledge about the problems can do a successful operation. In this project, with theoretical studies of the problems which may be occur during drilling and well completion in Iran, the complete report of these hindrances which are lost circulation, pipe sticking, bit balling, wellbore instability and shale problems is provided.
