Abstract:

Much of financial fund of countries is allocated to road construction projects. Delays in such projects cause irreparable damage to economy. Therefore, it is obvious that appropriate and successful implementation of road construction projects requires application of risk management in order to use in estimated duration, predicted cost, and proper quality. Also, prior to the start of the project, taking advantage of results and identifying possible risks in these projects can be used for effective planning to prevent the occurrence of such factors. This paper intends to identify risks in Iranian road construction projects as a sample of developing country using library studies and mixing with field survey. Then identified risks were qualitatively analyzed and prioritized using collection of experts` opinions. Finally, proper responses were introduced for each risk based on the nature and degree of importance
