Intelligent Supply Chain Management: Agent based model

Competition in the workplace is making Supply Chain Management a reality. But problems like Bullwhip, hard to manage, and inefficiency of the chain forced Supply Chain designers to develop new methodologies such as Integrated Supply Chain Management and information sharing. Information sharing, such as Internet-based exchanges among logistics partners, is a foundational step in Supply Chain integration. But once information sharing has improved Supply Chain visibility, intelligence is needed to determine when things are out of control, identify ways to resolve the problems, create reaction plans, and coordinate and synchronize the plans for all Supply Chain members. Intelligence is what makes data powerful, and the next battleground will shift to inserting intelligence into all aspects of the Supply Chain process. In this paper we define the concepts of Intelligence Supply Chain, and different Agent based and a Mobile Agent model are represented.
