Abstract:
This study attempts to investigate the motion and interaction of two co-axial bubbles in viscous fluid in vertical rectangle. A Shan and Chen-type multi-component multiphase lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) is applied to simulate the behavior of bubble–bubble interaction. The computational method was validated by considering two tests: Laplace law and shapes of rising bubbles. The results show that good agreement with numerical and experimental data. Deformation and coalescence of two equal and unequal rising bubbles for different Eotvos and Morton numbers are investigated
