Determining the Economic Value and Allocation of Pishin Damagricultural Water, Sistan and Baluchistan Province

The abstract is to be in fully-justified italicized text as it is here,The present study was carried out to estimate economic value of agriculturalwater in farmlands of Sarbaz, Sistan Baluchistan, which are under irrigationnetwork of Pishin dam, so that provides sustainable use of water resources andenhances water use efficiency via determining agricultural water price andoptimal farming pattern. Technical coefficients belong to crop year of 2010-13,obtained by randomized stratified sampling among 340 regional users. Resultsshowed that the water is not used efficiently and the same volume of available water can be used for farming in larger extent; moreover water price receivedfrom the farmers is much lower than water economic price. Regarding excessavailable water, it is recommended that water allocation management beperformed in such a way that cultivated area is extended and water pricing isequal to economic value. Moreover, due to lack of planting pattern, responsiblebodies should set appropriate economic faming patterns for improvement ofregional agriculture according to climatic condition, agricultural policies, watercapacity and relative advantage of crops.
