Numerical Analysis of dissociation enthalpies of simple and mixed hydrates abstract
The enthalpy of the reaction in which a gas hydrate is dissociated to hydrate former gas and either water or ice is determined numerically using Clapyron equation. The most important features of the new analysis are the direct use of equilibrium calculations and the Clapyron equation. In this analysis, the volume of each phase, hydrate former solubility and non ideality of the vapor phase are taken into account. The results show that the enthalpies of dissociation of simple and mixed hydrate are in good agreement with the experimental data at the quadruple point.
