A New Censoring CFAR Detector in Weibull Clutter abstract
In this paper,a new censoring CFAR detector, composed of an automatic censoring algorithm and a maximum likelihood(ML) CFAR detector, are proposed in weibull clutter. The new detector is named Automatic Censoring Maximum Likelihood (ACML). The proposed detector does not require any prior knowledge about the background environment and uses fuzzy membership function to determine and reject the unwatnted samples in the reference window. The performance of the proposed detectors is evaluted and compared with those of the ML, OS and ACCA-OVD CFAR detectors in Weibull background. The simulation results show that the ACML-CFAR detector has low CFAR loss in homogenous background and also performs robustly in presence of interfering targets.
