Selective Magnetic Solid Phase Extraction of Chloramphenicol from biological sample using Surface Molecularly Imprinted Polymer Grafted on SiO2/Fe3O4 abstract

The purpose of this research is to prepare a surface molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) using Fe3O4. Firstly Fe3O4 was synthesized and then SiO2 was coated on synthesized Fe3O4 in water-alcohol mixture using sol- gel technique. Prior to polymerization the vinyl group was introduced on to the surface of SiO2/ Fe3O4 through chemical modification with- methacryloxypropyl trimethoxysilence (γ-MAPS), which can direct selective polymerization on the surface. Then a novel composite of MIP-SiO2/Fe3O4 was obtained by copolymerization in presence of vinyl group functionalized SiO2/Fe3O4, chloramphenicol (CAP), methacrylic acid and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate. The MIP-SiO2/Fe3O4 composite was characterized by FT-IR, SEM methods. Following this product was used for analytical sample preparation based on magnetic solid phase extraction (MSPE) using molecularly imprinted polymer as new synthesized sorbet for isolation and extraction of chloramphenicol followed by HPLC-UV from biological sample. The method showed linearity in the range of 4-200 μg/L.
