A High Gain and Low Noise Amplifier Design Using New Noise Canceling Technique For Wireless Receivers abstract
A low noise amplifier employing a noise canceling technique is presented. By using the proposed noise canceling circuit and design methodology, the noise figure is greatly reduced. In the proposed circuit the CG and CS stages are employed to cancel the noise at the output node. The proposed LNA is simulated with Cadence Spectra using 0.18-μm CMOS technology. For the selected frequency bands of 2.2, 2.4 and 3.4 GHz, the results show (power gain) of 48, 44.5 and 48.34 dB, of -10.35,-9 and -12.15 dB and NF of 1.11, 1.12 and 1.23 dB respectively. Power dissipation is 17 mW from 1.8 V dc power supply.
