An Adaptive Droop Control Method for Voltage Restoration of DC Microgrids abstract
The droop control is adopted as a decentralized control method for the power sharing in DC microgrids. However, in the traditional droop control, the system deals with the tradeoff between voltage regulation and the power sharing accuracy, and it results in the voltage droop in case of good current sharing. This paper proposes a new droop control method for DC microgrids. In order to improve the voltage regulation of DC microgrids without the need of any communication links, a novel droop control method is proposed. The presented method adaptively updates the output voltage set-point for each DG unit. The simulation results show that the proposed method greatly improves the output voltage regulation without significant compromise of current sharing performance.
