Investigate loss Macronutrients (N, P, K) and organic matter by water erosion in the watershed of Representative and zogy city of Shush, Khuzestan, Iran

Given the importance of erosion, this research studied the loss of macronutrients and soil organic carbon due to the water erosion in the watersheds. Some physical and chemical soil parameters of soil such as phosphorus macronutrients, bulk density, organic matter, organic carbon and soiltexture were tested on the samples. The results of the statistical software (spss) were analyzed at 5% level of independent T test. The results showed the decrease of phosphorus and nitrogenmacronutrients due to the runoff and water erosion in the sample watershed compared to the control watershed. In general, the water erosion due to the runoff in the watershed decreased the soil fertility of the sample watershed than the control watershed. If the watershed managementand protection in the sample watershed fails over time with the progress of erosion, adverseconsequences will be made in the long-term.
