Abstract:

In this paper a novel method is presented to merge the negative and common mode feedback circuits in a folded cascode amplifier along with a new corner compensator as well. The merging reduces the power consumption, required to drive a typical capacitive load of 0.5pF or the load driving capacity of the amplifier is enhanced, consuming a specific amount of energy. On the other hand the corner detectors along with the new compensator can keep the precise operation of the amplifier in different corners and temperature conditions consequentially. The new architecture is designed on 0.18μm standard CMOS process and the simulation results using HSPICE software level 49, confirms more than 62dB of linearity and gain accuracy (AV = 2) is obtained in all corners, consuming only 5.8mW of power in TT.
