Abstract:

Methanolic extracts of 5 commercially available lime juice in Iran were investigated for their Total phenolic content by the Folin-Ciocalteau method ranged from249.17 to 422.51mg/100ml of gallic acid equivalents. flavonoids content of lime juice samples (based on HPLC method)varied from 52 to 85 mg/l for hesperidin and 10-16 mg/l for eriocitrin . There were no correlations between the total phenolic and/ or flavonoids contents in different lime juice.
