Abstract:
In this study zirconium oxide nanoparicles was produced by the sol – gel method inpresence of zirconium (IV) tert – butoxide and stearic acid at C 900 . The morphology ofparticles investigated with scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and the average size of2 ZrO nanoparticles were50nm. The chemical structure of nanoparticles was studied byusing X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy. Thisnanoparticle was used as catalyst in removal of malachite green.Suitable conditions for removing this pollutant were studied PH, time, pollutantconcentration and nanoparticle dosage. Results were indicated that the 2 ZrO nanoparticleshave high catalytic activity.
