Abstract:

One of the most widely used methods for the utilization of wind energy is the use of doubly fed ‎induction generator. The doubly-fed generators are better in the applications of limited-range speed control and large capacity case due to the partially rated inverter, high reliability and lower cost. This study presents three different approaches to control doubly fed ‎induction generator. Three cases of the best and most privileged control methods, vector, direct torque and direct power control are implemented.This paper presented the most common methods to control doubly fed induction generator in wind turbine. It is a quality and quantities compares between the three methods to determine which one will be implemented in terms of performance and simple structure. Results shows that DPC method cause of simple structure and operating in high speed is better than others. In this paper simulation is based on stator flux by accurate parameters of generator in matlab/Simulink
