A new analytical solution for hydrodynamic boundary layer flow over a permeable flat plate in a Darcian porous medium abstract
In the present paper, attempts have been made to extend a hydrodynamic boundary layer problem by a new analytic method. Under the boundary layer approximation, the governing equation exerted in the form of partial differential equations and then transformed to ordinary differential equations by dimensionless variables. The analytic solutions used for solving ODE equation are Galerkin Method (GM) and Homotopy Analysis Transform Method (HATM) which is a combination of Homotopy analysis method (HAM) and Laplace Decomposition Method (LDM). The effect of each parameter is analyzed in detail and compared with numerical technique. It is shown that the results of analytic method are in good agreement with numerical ones.Keywords: Darcian porous medium, Galerkin Method (GM), Homotopy Analysis Transform Method (HATM), Laplace decomposition method
