Performance evaluation of earth to air heat exchanger for use in SABZEVAR plain brick buildings in climate conditions abstract
In this paper we have presented a plan to reduce energy consumption in buildings. The building Analysis made of brick and adobe (or Cement) structures. The ethodology chosen for developing thermal model of this building with six together parts (Halls and rooms) is presented in this paper. The energy balance Were solved simultaneously using fourth order Runge–Kutta numerical. The results from the thermal model were validated using experimental observed data. Experimental results showed that the room air temperature during winter was found 4–8 C higher as compared to ambient air temperature. The life cycle cost analysis shows that the payback period is less than 2 years for the investment on EACH system. All the integrated systems together contribute significantly (72%) in reducing the annual heating consumption of the house. The results show that the annual energy savings of the building before and after integration of EAHE were 4946 kWh/year and 10321 kWh/year.
