A psychological analysis into Khosrow's character in Nizami's Khosrow and Shirin Manzomeh abstract

This article is a scientific research that uses Shinoda Bolen's psychological analysis in order to examine Khosrow's character from a psychological point of view using some samples of poetry. Each and every story and tale contains superficial and deep aspects. The superficial aspect or the surface structure of a story contains its superficial concept and meaning and the listener accepts it only as an ordinary story so as to get aware of a historical event or a romantic one. It is of no importance whether that story is real or unreal; what is important in the reader's eyes is the surface, not the deep meaning or even the author's message. The deep aspect or the deep structure of the story, which is indeed the author's main objective, is what excites the critics so that they can find out the author's intentions through examining the work and therefore multiply its value. To this end, at first a summary of Khosrow and Shirin's story in accordance with the one presented by Nizami is given, and then Khosrow's traits are examined in the story with Hermes.
