Differential Protection of Power Transformers based on the Artificial Neural Network (ANN) and Artificial Bee Colony(ABC) Method abstract
In This paper, a new design has been proposed which controls different operating conditions of the power transformer (normal, inrush current, over-stimulation of the nucleus, internal error and CT saturation due to external error). This method also determines the measured differential current transformer mode. The artificial bee colony (ABC) technique has been used to train the neural network to detect various operating conditions. This paper simulates this neural network and investigates and implements the simulation for different calibrations of the power transformers. Differential protection design based on artificial neural network (ANN) and educating it through the artificial bee colony (ABC) technique provides more accurate and faster results with high reliability and a very high non-linear representation
