Watermarking image using wavelet packets and energy measure abstract

In this paper, a watermarking algorithm for embedding digital watermak image into a color image was proposed. By using wavelet packets, we analyzed the energy of each packet. The information bits of watermark image are then embedded into the packets with least energy. Less distortion is imposed in the host image and hence, the quality of watermarked image is acceptable. By defining a scaling factor, we could run a trade-off between the robustness and quality. We found that the scaling factor of 0.8 is the best value to get the minimum acceptable quality of 42dB inPSNR. Furthermore, we test the proposed algorithm under different attacks such as jpg, noise, rotation. Finally, the results were given
