Abstract:
Random vibration is an essential and also the most important test among environmental tests of an inertial navigation system. This test simulates in-flight vibration to investigate its influence in navigation error. Random Vibration test can easily causes a permanent damage to inertial sensors or auxiliary equipment. This study suggests a practical method for recognition of defective sensors or equipment when there is an impressible error in position or velocity terms during static navigation. In other words, for the first time, an innovative instruction is presented for recognition of malfunctioned inertial sensor or intermediate electrical equipment that is responsible for increment in error of position and velocity in static navigation during vibration test. This aim is achieved by analytic examinations of navigation system recorded data, which means no new vibration test is required
