SBR Composites Prepared by Latex Method: Rheology Investigation of the Effect of Active Fillers and Nanoclay and Their Mixing Type

This paper investigates the effect of the presence of two active fillers, i.e. aluminum triacrylate (ALTA) and aluminum trimethacrylate (ALTM) and a modified nanocaly of cloisite 15A on the rheology of SBR. The sample composites were prepared in the latex form and two methods of simple stirring and ball milling were selected toprepare the filler suspensions. Not only the type of filler but the mixing type also affected the rheological properties of the resulting composites, however, the efficacy of mixing type was filler- type dependent
