The biologically important bis(pyrazol-5-ols) synthesized by an efficient and convenient approach for one-pot, pseudo five-component coupling of hydrazine monohydrate, ethyl acetoacetate and aldehydes in the presence of a catalytic amount of glucose as an efficient, inexpensive and environmental friendliness catalyst. The merits of this reaction are higher product yields in shorter reaction time and environmentally benign reaction conditions.
