Towards Precise Estimation of Tissue Elasticity with Optical CoherenceElastography Technique abstract
The strain-hardening characteristic of different tissue types significantly impacts on the contrast of elastography images. In this paper, we represent the achieved analytic expression predicting the Young modulus alterations in a soft biological tissue due to applied force in terms of some tissue’s specifications, with consideration of elastography procedure and in the case of nonlinear stress-strain relationship. This model is achieved base on analytic solution of 2D elasticity problem for a circular homogeneous inclusion attached to a homogeneous infinite medium in the case of a plane-strain state and under no assumption for soft tissue characteristics.
