Primary and Secondary Control of Microgrids, Strategies and Challenges An Approach to Voltage THD Simulation abstract

In this study, the microgrid concept has explained as a solution to conventional electrical grids problems. Also, the microgrid structure and its advantages, disadvantages and challenges are studied. Themicrogrids control topics investigated and three general hierarchical control levels explained. Finally significant topic, harmonics in voltage at microgrids, are discussed. It have shown how to calculate and simulate the voltage total harmonic distortion parameters. The control system of each DG comprises harmonic compensator, fundamental power controllers, voltage and current proportional-resonant controller and virtual impedance loop
