Abstract:

What teachers love the most is improving students‘ performance in any academic setting and it has been of great importance for years. That student‘s performance is greatly affected by the teachers‘ behavior or attitude is quite obvious. The teachers themselves are important, too. There are number of personal and environmental factors that can impinge on teachers‘ attitude and efficacy directly and the students‘ performance indirectly. So, there is a need to know these factors and prevent or fix them to foster students‘ performance or let the teachers enjoy what they are doing. This paper gives a detailed definition on burnout which has been a very challenging phenomenon for years not only in social business or empirical affairs but also in educational settings as well as its types. Moreover, the causes, symptoms of burnout will be discussed. Later, the studies carried out on teachers‘ burnout will be reviewed. And finally, some remedies are recommended to fix or prevent burnout and consequently help the educational system, teachers and students respectively.
