Experimental Study on Factors Affecting Drying of Ceramics Clays abstract

Drying is a complex process in which heat and mass transfer occur simultaneously. This process is influenced by external factors (environmental temperature, relative humidity and velocity) and internal factors (Porosity, particle size and distribution). Many studies have been conducted for drying process, through which different drying mechanisms have been discussed. In this paper the moisture movement inside the material has been modelled based on diffusion moisture transfer theories. The above mentioned description is governed by Fick’s equation.
