Microstructure and properties of conductive polyaniline-kraft pulp nanocomposite abstract

Highly intrinsic conductive polyaniline/cellulose fiber composites were successfully prepared through in situ chemical oxidation polymerization simply by increasing aniline concentration at the same dosage of fiber and oxidant (based on the weight of dry fiber). The prepared composites were characterized using Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) and their morphology was investigated using field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM). The aniline concentration played a very key role in the conductivity of the composite. Electrical conductivity measurements showed that the conductivity of the paper sheets increases by increasing the ratio of PANi in the composite
