Abstract:
This study aims to coordinate the parameters between PSS3B stabilizers and STATCOM in a fourmachine power system by the HBB-BC algorithm. In this paper, PSS3B and FACTS devices are considered and the use of STATCOM along with the PSS3B is investigated which renders system stability increase under nominal conditions and improves system stability in case of changing conditions. In general, the main goal of this paper is to improve the stability level and increase the reliability of the multi-machine power system by establishing synchronization between the power system stabilizer (PSS3B and STATCOM) and shortening the system s response time using the HBBBCalgorithm.
