Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to increase the yield of the solar cells by platinum octa-ethyl porphyrin dye fixation. Here, the dye dissolved in the solvent dichloromethane and formed green solution with the absorption of visible light in the range of 410-666 nm.This solution was established over the Titanium dioxide nanoparticles as an anode electrode with physical methods and Platinum nanoparticles as a cathode nanoparticles sticking to anode.Using porphyrin dye with the iodide/triiodide-based electrolyte shuttle resulted in dye-sensitized solar cells that exhibit a high open-circuit voltage VOC of 0.5 volt, short-circuit current density JSC of 0.03 ampere, and fill factor of 0.59 and a power conversion efficiency of 9%.
