Abstract:
The burden of premature mortality is increasingly used to prioritize health problems. The aim of this study was to estimate the burden of premature mortality of Colorectal Cancer in Golestan provincefrom 2011 – 2015.In a sequential cross-sectional study, referring to the province s mortality registration data, and using standard expected years of life lost (SEYLL) World Health Organization, the burden ofpremature mortality was calculated.From 2011 to 2015, a total of 3283 years, has been lost due to death from colorectal cancer, of which 1983 years (60.4%) belongs to men and 1299 years (39.6%) belongs to women. The burden of premature mortality of Colorectal in these years was 1.8 years at a thousand. The highest rate of lost years in both sexes is in the age group of 60-69 years. The burden of premature mortality of Colorectal Cancer in Golestan province has gradually increased from 2011 – 2015. The burden of premature mortality of Colorectal Cancer has gradually increased. Colorectal cancer appears to be a priority cancer in the province s health system, but definitive judgment requires a complete calculation of the DALY index and the ranking of cancers based on it.
