Abstract:

Today, the development of novel strategies for the diagnosis and treatment of cancerous diseases is carried out with the use of modern biomedical technologies. In this regard, specific antigens of cancer cells have shown a double role in smart diagnosis and treatment of these kinds of diseases. Therefore, in this study, the molecular monitoring of this type of antigens in relation to colon cancer has beenachieved by utilization of computational and simulation methods. In order to accomplish this goal, analysis of related antigens has been done by referring to resources. The NCBI bank was used to extractthe sequence and measuring the amount and extent of the expression was performed with help of the Protein Atlas. Structural modeling, connectivity evaluation and visualization of structural models areachieved with Modeller and Haddock and Pymol programs, respectively. The STRING test was used to detect antigen targeting ligands and to evaluate the sustainability of the drug being modeled wasperformed by Grummes program. The data were statistically analyzed by SPSS software. The results of the study revealed to detect 10 specific antigens associated with colon cancer cells. The virtualexpression of these antigens disclosed their varying expression and amplitude. Hence, CEACAM8 antigen with membrane position demonstrated the highest expression in the surface of this type ofcells. In addition, by modeling this antigen, a suitable structure in quasi-physiological conditions with favorable interconnection ability was obtained from a range of CEACAM6 as a ligand. In general, theresults of this study were concluded to detect antigen in the surface of the colon cancer cells, which either could be an appropriate choice regarding to histologic methods or is applied to promote thedevelopment of immunotoxin drugs, which is on the agenda of the group
