Theoretical Foundations of Deigning FLEXIBLE HOUSING DESIGN WITH GREEN APPROACH IN CHABAHAR

Flexibility in contemporary housing design, due to changes in lifestyle dimensions, is considered a solution to prevent interaction failure between society, people, and living space. Flexible housing can be consistent with users’ needs that leads to understanding the expected needs with their contributions. The purpose of this housing design was to match housing with physical and mental needs of the existing users and to have matching potential regarding culture and needs of future users. These are the cases that require intensive studies in present society of Iran and consider sustainability issues that include social-economic-environmental sustainability. Green architecture is used to improve life quality of people and to construct safer buildings. Therefore, designs based on energy saving, consideration of climatic issues, favorable relationship with the nature, and designing high quality residential spaces that provide relaxation and comfort for their residents constitute the main goal of this study. Therefore, this study aimed to design flexible housing in Chabahar.
