Abstract:

Introduction: Breast cancer is the most common of cancer among women. Considering the importance of breast cancer screening and its role in the timely identification of patients and also reduce treatment costs, Takes place a national health priority. Thermal imaging for performance speed in diagnosis and lack of harmful radiation can have a special place. Materials and Methods: In this study, thermal images of 150 patients with suspected breast cancer were studied. 22 diagnostic parameters observed in this images based on the output of the normal thermal symmetry in the two breast And attention to this issue that cancerous tumors and precancerous by visible changes of thermography in the vascular system of breast are determined, Extracted and then we apply genetic algorithms to optimize diagnostic features to be extracted. finally These features will be given to neural network to completed screening process. Results: The image was taken in 150 patients, 17 cases of cancer were diagnosed by mammography, the results of the method in these patients showed a sensitivity of 99%. Conclusions: Thermography is a unique indicator of the functional activity within the breast, unlike mammography, MRI and ultrasound, which reveal anatomical structures such as tumors and their waste products. Therefore, breast thermography is a medical science that assessed heat patterns for extracting diagnostic signs of breast cancer risk.
