Design and Testing of an Implantable Biotelemetry System

Long term neurophysiological studies of un-anesthetezed and freely moving animals repuire an imp;antable miniaturized telemetry system that can acquire and transmit neural firing patterns and other physiological parameters directly from inside the body. In this paper the design and test result of a long range implantable bio - telemetry system is presented . This system has three main features : wireless inductive powering with implanted rechargeable battery, differential as single- ended measurements , long range data transmission. These features make this system suitable for long-term telemetry of internal bio signals from freely moving animal.
