The Automotive Aerodynamics Influenced By Active Airfoil-Shaped Rear Wing abstract

Automotive aerodynamics is one of the most crucial fields in car industry. Therefore, aerodynamics representsthe efficiency and environmental compatibility of vehicles. Additionally, the drag and lift forces play the key role in termsof fuel efficiency and stability of vehicles. In area of sport cars these factors are even more significant due to highervelocities and the fact that aerodynamics is used, in order to fulfill drag and lift characteristics. This research is aimed topresent an experimental numerical simulation and CFD-based analyses of flow around the sport car, namely Audi R8V10 Plus. It is believed that analysis and solutions are considerably close to company experimental results and the conceptactive rear wing is designed in order to develop the aerodynamics specifications.
