The Challenges of Different Parameters on Acrylic Polyol Copolymer Properties Used in Automotive Clear Coats abstract
For automotive coatings,the clear coat must have good physical, mechanical properties. In this research an Acrylic-Polyol copolymer which can be cured with Isocyanate was designed and synthesized and the factors which have an influence on it was investigated. These parameters can be categorized as follows: 1) Physical properties: glossness, leveling, adhesion, tack free time. 2) Mechanical properties: hardness, impact, cupping, chemical resistance. The results are indicates and discussed on graphs.
