A Two-Level Fuzzy Logic Based DoS Attack Detection Algorithm for Body Sensor Networks abstract
Body Sensor Networks (BSNs) is a technology showed high potentialin improving the quality of healthcare and as a result includes aspectrum wide of medical programs for comprehensive monitoring ofhealthcare. Collected and produced enormous amount of confidentialhighly information from body sensor network requires a developmentand secure storage and processing infrastructure. However, despitemany Advantages of BSNs they will remain security issues andmultiple challenges. Among these cases, it has the most securityvulnerability to data access. The most serious for data access is theDOS attack, which affects directly the access to all information ofpatient. The DOS attack existing in the network consequence effect ofincreased traffic and very high congestion. Therefore, if DOS attackdetected is by mistake congestion, or vice versa, it can have adverseeffects on the network. In this paper, we provided a body sensornetwork for detection and separation congestion from DOS attack. Inthe proposed method, prevents as much as possible of DOS attacks byusing two level fuzzy logic technique. This mechanism, based on twolevels prioritization, includes the importance of body sensors andpatient status, which congestion detection and DOS attacks based twophasefuzzy logic and responds to the attacks according to theircondition. Simulation results show that the proposed method has theacceptable operation and high performance, and can distinguishdifference between congestion and DOS attack with high precisionand increasing network productivity.
