Abstract:

In this paper, a new design of multiplexer based on two-dimensional photonic is proposed. In this 4 channel filtering process and wavelength selecting is done by a set of point defect between input and output wave guides in each channel. The normalized transmission spectra of the photonic crystal ring resonator are taken using Two-dimensional (2D) Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) method. The photonic band gap is calculated by Plane Wave Expansion (PWE) method.
