Abstract:
Seismic retrofit of concrete frame by steel shear wall is a new method are used because easy fabrication and erection , high initial stiffness , good ductility , steel plate lighter than concrete shear wall , ect . In recent years , the advance of steel production has made the new structural steel available . The low-yield-Point steel (LYP steel) possesses extremely low yield strength and high elongation properties . The LYP steel also possesses low yield ratio which is only 0.34 . with low yield ratio , the structure is able redistribute the plastic stress and provide a large inelastic zone . In this paper retrofit of concrete frame by two type of steel (ST37,LYP) and their seismic parameters are considered . Result show , bothsystem have satisfactory behavior and behavior of system that retrofitted by steel plate is satisfactored and energy absorption , overstrength , stiffness , and shear capacity will increased and yield start from steel plate . By using LY steel it is expected from the steel to yield at smaller lateral displacement and the structure to start energy absorption .
