Modification and Implementation of Permanent Magnet Shaded Pole Single Phase Motor abstract
In this paper an extraction of a shaded pole motor as a single phase permanent magnet brushless motor is studied. Thus, at first, distributed ampere-turn in the air gap in both original and modified structures of shaded pole motor are analyzed separately. Then, clockwise and counterclockwise components of magnetic rotating field is considered, and counterclockwise component of rotating field is reduced due to apply changes in the original structure of motor, also by injection of a short circuit coil in the stator, moreover delay in flux variations in coils area which it creates two magnetic fields in the stator, the output torque of the motor is improved too, and finally, shaded pole motor performance in both original and modified structures are compared. Thus, a two dimensional FEM that is done by Maxwell software is used for analyzing purposes. Due to obtained results, above motor is optimized in motor performance indexes like torque and efficiency. The obtained results are shownbconsiderable improvements in torque and efficiency.
