Abstract:
Palladium-mediated Heck-Mizoroki coupling reactions have received consirderable attention due to the industrial applications of these reactions in fine chemical fields , such as pharmaceuticals and herbicides. Theses reactions generally proceed in the presence of a homogeneous palladium catalyst which has two main drawbacks, a tediouswork up and recovery process and palladium contamination in products. One way of overcoming these difficulties would be the use of heterogeneous catalyst systems instead of homogeneous counterparts for application in industrial reaction processes. In this work we wish to report the synthesis of a heterogenousPd (II) complex catalyst supported on SBA-16 for application in Heck reaction.
