Incremental adaptive networks working through FSO Log-normal turbulence channels abstract

In this paper, for the first time, we investigate the performance of adaptive networks with incremental least mean square (ILMS) algorithms that are implemented using visible light communication technology in free space. This update is considered for the benefit of these networks from the advantages of free space optical (FSO) communication. In this case, the links between nodes are contaminated by Gaussian noise and optical channel coefficients that usually follow the Log-normal distribution. For incremental adaptive networks, we use the steady state performance relations and therefore determine the exact error values as mean square deviation (MSD) and excess mean square error (EMSE). Finally, using these values and the simulation outcomes, we compare the performance of the incremental network working through different optical channel models and conditions.
