Abstract:
Ecological capability evaluation shows the potential of the land in the form of applications is expected. To achieve sustainable development, tendencies should be toward planning and rational exploiting the resources on the basis of their power in order to use the lands. The aim of this present study is ranked of land use criteria of Eshtehard in Iran using PROMETHEE II method. For this purpose, data set of 8 selected criteria was obtained for Eshtehard region, from various sources. PROMETHEE method is a new method for ranking a set of options across a large number of criteria. Results showed that the rank of these 8 criteria is Soil Permeability, Height, Vegetation Cover, Vegetation Type, Slope, Climate, Soil Drainage and Soil Texture, respectively.
