Multi-Dimensional Study of Performance and Pollutants Emissions of Hydrogen Internal Combustion Engines. abstract
In this investigation, an in-house multi-dimensional code has been developed to predict the performance and pollutants emissions of an internal combustion engine (ICE) fueled with hydrogen. A dynamic mesh with using block structural method and with high ability to simulation of stems moving and application of boundary conditions has been generated. A single step hydrogen oxidation rate proposed by Westbrook et al. [26] to form water vapor has been used. The results have been compared with available experimental data. The prepared program has ability for parametric studies on performance and emissions.
