Abstract:
ZnO doped Mg and pure ZnO nanoparticles were successfully synthesized by sedimentarymethod . The products were characterized by XRD and TEM.. XRD patterns showed that thedoped nanoparticles had the same crystals structures as the pure ZnO nanoparticles .ZnO dopedMg nanoparticles had larger lattice volume than the pure nanoparticles.The photocatalytic degradation of indole 3- butyric acid in aqueous solutions was investigated byboth pure and ZnO doped Mg under UV light irradiation in this study. In this study the effect ofdifferent parameters such as indole 3- butyric acid concentration, photocatalyst amount, PH,Oxidant concentration ,degradation of I-3BA and optimum condition was obtained.
